“Serra’s work is so dramatic: the size, the proportions, the visions.  You see a seven foot-tall piece of steel, and it is so long, sometimes sixty feet long, and you wonder, how can he make such sweeping, organic forms using such a big piece of metal?  Serra shapes a piece of metal the same way I shape paint.  I feel as though Richard Serra, Frank Gehry and myself are brothers in a cosmological sense.  It is like we reach the infinite.”
